Attempts to Use Temps Part 5: Establishing Boundaries

Establishing Boundaries

So basically, yeah… I didn’t want to be “that guy”, but at a certain point you realize, they don’t care about this job— at all. Their priorities lie elsewhere. They view you, and the company you work for, the same way an animal views a food dispenser in a science experiment. They keep pressing buttons to see which ones give the tasty treats, and which give painful electric shocks. Otherwise, they’ll just mash all the buttons at once if they think they can get something out of it.

And that’s why you have to have “disincentives”. It really helps to have unpleasant things you can dole out when the worker isn’t working out. It may seem harsh, but the carrot rarely gets the same consistent results as the stick.

FWIW, you mean “allowed”, not “aloud”.

Ah yes, you are correct as always good sir. What would I ever do without you? Thank you for the correction.

What would you do without me? Leave silly typos in your comics.

Dunno where I get these sharp eyes for such things, people in my line of work are supposed to be sucky spellers too. But here I am.
