Secret Superpower

Secret Superpower

Well, the Covid-19 thing is still going on. I’m going to rant about it here so that it doesn’t show on the front page. Honestly the virus itself does not worry me half as much as the societal breakdown in a region with little to no virus activity.

I get why the toilet paper and shit ran out, but what puzzles me is the lingering bread shortage. What the fuck is up with that? You know people can’t buy seventeen loaves and figure they’re good for the next few months because bread kind of goes bad quickly, and there’s only so much room in the freezer.

As far as I know, bread products are restocked multiple times a week, and bread in the supermarket is rarely more than a week old because that’s how bread works. It’s very perishable, so they have to keep replacing all of it every week. Since bread production is considered “essential”, why is it that you still can’t find any fucking hot dog buns at Meijer?

OK so I was able to go down the street and get hot dog buns at Kroger, but they’re still out of bleach and rubbing alcohol. It’s so fucking surreal when you walk through a supermarket and see the empty shelves. I always thought that was something that happened to non-first world countries, or something from a Hollywood dystopian B movie.

And while that is annoying, the part that really worries the shit out of me is that the natives are getting restless. Idle hands do the devil’s work, and the rednecks in my community are growing more and more rowdy. It’s not like any of them have a reliably functioning conscience to keep their violent tendencies in check. Once they realize that the cops are keeping their distance from the public, it’s only a matter of time before things get ugly.

If you thought the death toll from people contracting Covid-19 would be a scary thing, wait until you see the death toll from the panic stricken idiots going on a psycho-spree. Once the killings start, society as we know it will be completely dissolved.

This needs to end.
