Just got lucky is all… WordPress seems to be working just as they claim it to work, and best of all, I really get that warm fuzzy feeling every time a spambot leaves me a comment after my automated weekly update. Yep… It’s Caviar and Perrier from here on in.
So let’s take a quick look at the logs to see just how impressive this site has really grown.
oh…
Well, let’s just say the effort is hardly worth the notice.
Let’s look at the top visitors according to my log stats:
- Me (of course.)
- Googlebot
- Yahoo
- MSNbot (starting to see a trend?)
- Twiceler
OK, so outside of the bots it’s almost impossible to detect any real visitors.
Yeah… Good luck with that.

I could have saved this one for Valentines day but instead I thought I'd just slather this maudlin display of affection upon you to make up for the fact that this webcomic actually sucks. Thanks for stopping by!
Update: Jan. 29, 2010
Well, it’s been some time now since I originally posted this incoherent babbling back in April of 2009. So far, WordPress has functioned very well with only one horrific moment after a hacker compromised my web server. Other than that Flush Twice has actually been growing in its real live human viewership, and this makes me very happy.
Of course it’s still a modest number of actual visitors, but according to the site’s stat tracker, I’m seeing a steady increase since December with an overall average of about 75 unique visitors per day. If you only include visits over the past week, the average is a bit higher… Around 95 viewers per day. These aren’t search engines or simple page views. These are actual people out there who came to check out the site, and for which I am ever grateful.
